BOB KERR and his WHOOPEE BAND....The Musical Mayhem Show

Bob Kerr formed his Whoopee Band after serving his apprentiship in such luminary bands as the Temperance Seven, The Bonzo Dog Band and The New Vaudeville Band.

Bob recently did a nationwide tour with the Bonzo Dog Band as one of the original members who had a number hit with “The Urban Spaceman”. Bob was also an original member of the New Vaudeville Band and it was Bob who was chosen to sing their number one hit “Winchester Cathedral” through that now famous megaphone on Top of the Pops, The London Palladium, The Dean Martin Show and the Ed Sullivan Show in the USA to name but a few.

After a couple of years playing around America including shows in Las Vegas, he decided to form his own band based loosely on Spike Jones and his City Slickers and bits of all the other bands above. Based in the UK the band are now entering their 40th Anniversary on the road without any signs of stopping. With his hand picked band of great musicians and entertainers the show is a complete variety of musical styles from the 1920’s onwards. It all adds up to a show of unashamed nostalgia, honest fun and entertainment. The show was described by a leading European newspaper as a cross between Spike Jones, The Marx Brothers and Monty Python a no mean accolade.

Bob and the Boys travel the western world including in Russia. They have made many CDs and DVDs. They have appeared in several films and TV & Radio shows at
